35 weeks

I am now at 35 weeks and cannot believe that I only have 5 to go! Matt and I went to the doctor again yesterday and found out that Rilynn is currently 5 lbs, 7 oz. She is a little small for 35 weeks, but she still has plenty of time to grow! Here is a picture of her face. You can only see half because the other half is covered by her fist.

During the ultrasound, the technician believes that she saw an echogenic foci spot on Rilynn's heart. The doctor does not seem at all concerned and really feels that it is either a calcium deposit that will resolve itself before birth or just a shadow that is absolutely nothing. Either way, I am going to a perinatologist on Tuesday for another ultrasound to ensure that everything is okay. Unfortunately Matt will be out of town for work and absolutely cannot change his schedule (next week is the implementation of the project that he has been working on for the past 3 1/2 years). Instead mom is flying up to go to the doctor with me; I am very happy that I don't have to go alone. I will be sure to update the blog next week with the results. In the meantime, although we believe everything is fine, please keep Rilynn in your thoughts and prayers.

Last, for those of you that have been asking, here are a few more preggo pictures of me. The image on the left is from 34 weeks and on the right is 35 weeks. There isn't much of a difference, but you can see the "turkey timer" starting to poke out. :)

Be sure to check back next week for an update on Rilynn and pictures of her nursery! And Happy Birthday Mom/Gammy, we love you!

Another three weeks...

Another three weeks have passed and things are continuing to go well. My belly is growing like crazy now and the little kickboxer loves to let me know when she is awake! Here is a picture of what I looked like at 30 weeks, 2 days.

As stated in my last post, Matt and I went back to Atlanta July 25-27. It was great to see our families and to be back to the familiar. Saturday was Gabbie's birthday so we went to her birthday party at a park near Matt's old college apartment and then to dinner with just the family. I can't believe she is already 4! Here is a picture of me with the birthday girl.

After a long drive back to St. Louis, Matt and I worked on the nursery. The only thing we have left to do is hang artwork, which should arrive within the next couple of weeks. So far we are very pleased with the outcome. I will post pictures once it is complete.

At 32 weeks, the GLOBE team (Matt's team at Purina) threw us a baby shower. It was unexpected, but definitely appreciated! I think they pretty much cleaned out one of our registries! Unfortunately I forgot my camera that day so I don't have any pictures.

I am now coming up on my 33rd week. As my sister reminded me last night, Matt and I will have a baby next month. It is scary and exciting all at the same time! Until then, we will just continue to prepare for her arrival. We have our Preparation for Childbirth seminar coming up at the end of the month and a breastfeeding class this week. We also have another ultrasound on the 20th so I will be sure to post the picture.

Also, this weekend is Matt's 29th birthday and we are hosting a Low Country Boil at our house. We are both looking forward to showing St. Louis just how it is done in the South! I will be sure to take and post pictures since I haven't done so in a couple of weeks. Since there will be so many changes in the next 7 weeks, I will be sure to post more often as well. Thank you all for keeping up with the progress of little Rilynn. She is already so lucky to have such wonderful and loving family and friends!
