Rilynn discovers Hi5

After a day of cleaning out old boxes we found an old Hi5 (kids show) DVD of Gabbie's. We popped it in the DVD player for Rilynn to watch.

She was immediately entertained...we'll have to get more of these DVDs from cousin Gabbie.

Rilynn's First Gymnastics Class

Yesterday was Rilynn's first gymnastics class. She had a good time but it looked like she was more interested in self-instruction than following what the rest of the class was doing.

She liked the uneven bars, rollling down the cheese wedge with mommy, and exploring around the gym with the other kids.

Since we recently bought a camcorder we decided to document the event and share it with you all.....Enjoy

Christmas 2009

On Rilynn's 15-month birthday, Matt, Rilynn, Laidan & I headed back to Atlanta for the Christmas holidays. We really enjoyed spending the holidays with family and friends. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

The day after Christmas, Matt's cousin Kerry & her husband, Doug, and their 2 sons, Aaron (4) & Dain (1), stopped in for a visit. They live in Orlando and were driving through Atlanta on their way to Mississippi to visit Kerry's family.

Welcome Elijah Daniel Whitmire - December 19, 2009

On December 19, 2009, the Baxter family welcomed its 24th great-grandchild (Rilynn is #22). My closest cousin, Shannon, gave birth to a beautiful & healthy baby boy, Elijah Daniel Whitmire. He knew that I was coming into town for the holidays so he decided to come 2 weeks early! :) I was so excited that I was able to make it to the hospital to visit Shannon, Johnathan & baby Elijah! Congratulations Shannon & Johnathan!
