8 months!

Rilynn turned 8 months on Tuesday, May 19th. Here are a couple of pictures of her playing.

Ear piercing, or at least an attempt :)

The day before Rilynn's 8 month birthday I decided it was time to get Rilynn's ear's pierced. One reason being that I was tired of her being called a boy or "he", the other reason being that I thought it would be so cute! However, Rilynn had other plans. She absolutely did not want to have her ears pierced yet. After putting up quite a fight and daddy reaching his boiling point with the lady attempting to pierce Rilynn's ears, we decided we would wait for another day. But before giving up, I was able to snap a few pictures. She is just adorable, ears pierced or not!

Marking her ears

Too scared for mommy & daddy to go through with it!

Playing

Here are a couple of pictures of Rilynn standing up playing with her play table. She is getting so big and absolutely loves standing up! I am sure she will be cruising around the table before too long!

Playing with water

Just before Rilynn's 8 month birthday, Matt and I realized that it was time to move Rilynn's bath tub out of the sink and in to the our bath tub. Not only was she outgrowing the sink, but she learned how to turn the water on and off, which made bath time all the more difficult. Here is a video of Rilynn playing at the end of her last bath in the sink.

Golf cart ride...

As most of you know, Matt is from Peachtree City, the land of all things golf. There are golf courses, golf cart paths, golf cart bridges, golf cart parking spots, and of course the golf carts themselves. While we were back home in early May, Rilynn got to take her first golf cart ride with her Pappy, GG, mommy and daddy. We first rode over to the Digby's home so Rilynn could meet James (Matt's first boss at Purina), his wife Pam, and their son (and Rilynn's Uncle Jeff's friend) Bryan. Rilynn also got to meet Toby, Bryan's 1 1/2 year old Malshi (Maltese and Shih Tzu mix). Here we learned just how much Rilynn loves dogs, especially little dogs. Unfortunately I did not get a picture or video, but I will never forget how the little dog would bark at Rilynn and Rilynn would just laugh and laugh. It was truly priceless!

After leaving the Digby's we went over to one of the lakes so Rilynn could see the ducks. Here are a couple of pictures of her checking out the ducks with daddy.

We think Rilynn really enjoyed her first golf cart ride. At least it appears that she did...

Playing with GG

The first week in May, Matt, Rilynn, Laidan and I went back to Atlanta for my cousin Shannon's wedding. I was in the wedding and Matt and my parents were attended so Rilynn got to spend a lot of time with her Pappy and GG. Here is a video of Rilynn playing with her GG.

7 Months!

On Rilynn's 7 month birthday, I ran my first post-baby race. My last race, the Disney Marathon when I was just 4 weeks pregnant (of course I had no idea that I was pregnant), was about 16 months ago so it was nice to get back in to my running. On Sunday, April 19th I ran the Go! St. Louis half marathon with some people from work. Unfortunately it was pouring down rain so Matt and Rilynn didn't make it out to the finish line, but I was able to get a picture with Rilynn when I got back home. She cannot wait to be a runner too!

After cleaning up, Matt, Rilynn & I headed over to the Bacilek's home for a post race BBQ (I work with Stacy Bacilek in the Pet Specialty Group at Nestle Purina PetCare). Matt and I enjoyed ourselves, but not quite as much as Rilynn enjoyed playing with Jake & Jackson's toys. Here are a few pictures of her playing.
