Coming along...

The past month has flown by! At 26 weeks I went to Panama City Beach, FL with my mom, sister, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Martha, Aunt Penny, and Aunt Becky, and cousins Tracy, Tammy, and Amy for our annual Baxter family girl trip. Although it was not the usual trip for either me or my cousin Tracy (who is also pregnant - about 21 weeks on our trip), it was a nice and relaxing mini vacation. Here is a picture of me on our balcony at 26 weeks, 4 days.

At 27 weeks, I headed back to Atlanta for Jeanne & Mike's wedding while Matt stayed in St. Louis with his brother. I had a hard time finding something to wear since cute, semi-formal maternity dresses are hard to come by. However, since empire waist is the current style, I was able to pick up a nice dress from White House Black Market. I have attached a picture below of me with a few of my favorite ladies.

Over the 4th July, Matt painted the nursery and together we hung the border. Below are a few pictures of our work. You can also see in the pictures just how helpful Laidan was in the process!

The crib, dresser, chair and ottoman for the room were delivered on Saturday, July 19th. Although the furniture does not begin to complete the nursery, it did help make it seem more like a baby's room. We are still waiting for another piece of furniture to arrive as well as a lamp, rug, and the artwork. But for now, here are a few pictures of what the furniture looks like.

Last, at 29+ weeks I took my last trip out to San Diego before Rilynn is born. For those of you who do not know, I work with PetCo so although I am based out of St. Louis, I travel to San Diego about twice a month for PetCo meetings. This last trip, I flew out a day early so I could catch a Padres vs. Braves game with Beth, a good friend from college. She lives in LA now so she drove down for the game and dinner. It was great seeing her again! Below is a picture of Beth, Tressa (Beth's friend), and me at the game. PetCo field is a great place to catch a game, not to mention that the weather was awesome and the Braves actually won 12-3 (I know, they finally beat someone, but the Padres are in last place in their division so that isn't saying much!). My trip to San Diego was a long one, but I am glad to say that it will be my last until 2009!

This upcoming weekend Matt and I will be back in Atlanta one last time before parenthood! I am driving in with Laidan and Matt is flying in from California on Friday. I am looking forward to seeing Matt's family on Friday night and my entire family on Saturday at Gabbie's 4th birthday party! I will be sure to post pictures of the party when we return! Miss you all!
