Overdue update...

Sorry that it has taken us so long to update this page, we have been traveling quite a bit and still trying to settle into our new house. But no excuses - we will try to do better!

As most of you know, Matt and I moved to the St. Louis suburbs. Here are a couple of pictures that we took at our new house with our 5 1/2 year old Weimaraner, Laidan. I am still trying to get used to St. Louis, but we both love our house and the neighborhood. There are tons of children around and St. Louis seems to be a great place to raise a family (of course I am still hoping that this is a temporary move - not a permanent one!). Either way, we love finally being together!

Now on to what most of you really care about, Rilynn. Things are going very well with the pregnancy. Since my last post so many things have changed with not only my body, but how much she is moving. She moves the most when I am hungry or when I am laying down to go to bed. Matt loves being able to feel her and we both talk to her quite a bit. I am having trouble sleeping at night, just from being uncomfortable, but other than that I am doing very well. I am still getting used to the big belly and maternity clothes, but it won't be long before I am back into my pre-pregnancy clothes (at least I hope!).

At 24 weeks, Matt and I went back to Atlanta for baby showers and just to visit. The first shower was on June 7th at Powder Springs First Baptist Church. It was given by mom, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Martha, Aunt Penny, Tish, and Roxann. We had many close friends attend and received many wonderful gifts.

On Sunday, June 8th, my sister, Lem, Gabbie, and Coen hosted a couple's cookout at their house for Matt and me. It was given by my sister, Kelly, my Aunt Elaine, and my cousins Tracy, Tammy, & Rhonda. Again, we had great food (thanks to Lem who manned the grill all day in the hot Atlanta sun!) and received many great gifts!

Thank you to everyone who came to the showers. It really meant a lot to Matt and me to have our friends and families there! We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such caring and loving people! Also, thank you all for the many thoughtful gifts! Everything will be put to good use in just a short amount of time!

Matt and I will be painting the nursery over the 4th of July in preparation for the delivery of Rilynn's furniture. Stay tuned for more updates, including pictures of the nursery and me at 26 - 28 weeks! We promise it will not be another 5 1/2 weeks before we post again!
